Nigerian singer and Grammy winner, Wizkid is undoubtedly a proud dad following his son, Boluwatife’s music debut.
A week ago Boluwatife had announced his music debut with the release of his EP, Champion Arrival.
He shared a video of himself working hard in the studio, backed by his mother, Sola Ogudugu, and his manager.
Following the release of his single, Boluwatife hit a new milestone as Champion’s Arrival debuts at 1 on music platforms, less than 5 hours after release.
According to reports, his EP, is already charting in 16 countries on Apple Music and is 71 on UK Apple Music Top Albums.
This has made him the youngest African artists to top Apple Music Nigeria Top Albums Chart.
Wizkid’s son says people will regret his father didn’t wear latex
While attending the Knicks Game in New York, the Grammy singer was asked about his son’s musical debut, and as expected, the proud father gushed over it.
Wizkid noted how Boluwatife is his son and expressed love for the EP.
“We love it, man. He’s my kid, you know”.
In one of his songs, Grinds, he threw shade at his haters.
The young lad said they will regret that his father didn’t wear latex, meaning condom.
During his father’s fight with rival Davido, Bolu, in a bitter exchange with a fan, threw shots at him as he mocked Davido for begging for sex.
Wizkid shares his son with Sola Ogudugu, whom he met while performing at her University.
During Wizkid’s mother’s burial, the single mother received praise for her motherly role over her son’s matured behaviour and humility.
Boluwatife won the hearts of many with his love and display of affection for his half-siblings, which earned his mother praises.
