Nigerian Super Eagles coach, Jose Peseiro showered praises on the captain of the side, Ahmed Musa.
The forward hasn’t played any minute for the Super Eagles at the tournament but he’s one of the influential figure in the side.
The Super Eagles manager talked about the player during his press conference ahead of the final against Cote d’Ivoire on Sunday. He commended his leadership role which is one of the factor behind the team reaching the final.
He said the player remains a key figure for the team despite not having any minutes so far, as he hasn’t complained or given the coaching staff a problem. He also talked about how the two of them rub their heads together as he has a lot of experience in the competition and his teammates respect him.
Musa is an important player for us, even if he hasn’t play any game. He has not complain or give us any problem.
He has advised me on so many things and is always ready to support his teammates.
I seek his advice on so many things because he has played at the AFCON before and is also experienced. He is the star of the team and commands a lot of respect from his teammates”
