The Old Mutual Foundation has allocated N$105,000 to fund five Namibian schools as part of their comprehensive effort to enhance sustainable practices and food supply systems in Namibia.
The ‘Little Green Ambassadors’ initiative funded this amount of money since its launch in October 2023 to help students start fruit-bearing tree and vegetable garden projects on school grounds. citeturn0search0
Outstanding educational institutions receiving recognition include the mentioned schools:
- Môreson Special School received N$40,000 as part of the grant award from the Old Mutual Foundation.
- The funds will support Ariamsvlei Primary School to the amount of N$30,000.
- The school received N$20,000 as a recognition at the DD Guibeb Primary School.
- Ben van der Walt Primary School Awarded N$10,000
- Wilhelm Nortier Primary School received an award fund of N$5,000.
These educational institutions have achieved outstanding development in their school gardens while actively training their students to care about their environment. Old Mutual spokesperson Hileni Amadhila praised school dedication when she noted that the institutions displayed significant garden growth while implementing environmental awareness programs for their students.
