Controversial Ghanaian Prophet Nicholas Osei, popularly known as Kumchacha, stirred controversy by publicly questioning Roman Fada, manager of late Highlife icon Daddy Lumba, over the deaths of several musicians linked to Lumba.
Kumchacha asked, “Why has every artiste you’ve worked with died?” in a remark that renewed rumours Seng Ghana’s entertainment circles.
Roman Fada reacted swiftly, dismissing the claim as baseless and urging the public to stop blaming Daddy Lumba for deaths within the creative industry.
He emphasized that linking tragedies like the deaths of Dada KD and Anokye Supremo to Lumba is unfair and harmful equating the trend to blaming Lumba if even a Pope passed away.
Roman Fada’s plea essentially called for restraint: allow deceased artists to rest in peace, respect their memory, and focus on their contributions not speculative drama.
The episode underscores deeper challenges around rumor circulation and respect for truth within Ghana’s entertainment media space.
