Nigerian music superstar Tiwa Savage has made a deeply personal revelation: despite her past relationships, even her marriage, she has yet to experience true romantic love.
During a recent interview with Zeze Mills, the 45-year-old songstress reflected candidly on her love life, stating that her only encounter with genuine love has been with her son, Jamil. She shared:
“I don’t think I’ve experienced true love apart from my son… every time I look back at all my relationships, I’m like, nah, that wasn’t love. I was just infatuated.”
She didn’t stop there, she even questioned if romantic love is meant for her:
“Maybe love isn’t for me because I have tried over and over… maybe love isn’t for me this lifetime.”
These remarks add to her previously candid musings. On “The Receipts” podcast, she noted that infidelity was never a dealbreaker for her, what she couldn’t handle was the disrespect or emotional neglect that often accompanied it.
Despite heartbreaks, she hasn’t ruled out hope. In earlier interviews, Tiwa spoke of her enduring belief in fairy-tale romance—even while demanding its authenticity.
