Did Davido and Asake Copy Ghanaian singer DJ Azonto’s unique style? That’s the burning question after Azonto boldly accused the Nigerian superstars of imitating his creative image.

Speaking in the latest episode of Reaction Room, Azonto claimed that both Davido and Asake had adopted elements of his distinctive style without giving him credit.

“I started this style, this brand. But when others do it, the world celebrates them. That’s unfair,” he declared.

The remarks have since ignited a storm online. Fans are divided, with some dismissing the comments as clout-chasing, while others believe Azonto is shedding light on a genuine issue.

Music analysts say his outburst highlights a long-running Ghana–Nigeria rivalry, where Ghanaian artists often feel overshadowed by Nigeria’s global dominance in Afrobeats.

For now, Davido and Asake have not responded to the claims, but Azonto’s bold accusations have placed them in the spotlight.

Whether this is just for attention or actual truth remains to be seen.
