A Ghanaian teacher has gone viral after pleading with the Minister of Education to introduce a “self-control allowance” for male teachers, saying it’s not easy to stay focused while teaching teenage girls.

In the trending video shared by @mayfred on X, the teacher humorously claimed that female students are now “too fine and tempting,” making it difficult for male teachers to concentrate on their work.

“Minister of Education, I stand for my colleagues because we teachers deserve a self-control allowance. Looking at these young girls nowadays, we’re suffering.

We deserve a self-control allowance because the students are irresistible, imagine you’re a teacher and you don’t have self-control will you leave them to go like that” he said.

He jokingly appealed to the government to compensate teachers for maintaining discipline in the classroom.
