The legal team of Pastor Chris Okafor has issued a stern warning to Nollywood actress Doris Ogala, social media influencer VeryDarkMan (VDM), and other bloggers, demanding they submit proof of their allegations to the Nigerian Police or face criminal prosecution.

Speaking to journalists in Lagos, Ife Ajayi, Lead Partner at Sovereignty LP, described the claims against his client as “false, malicious and a coordinated campaign of cyberbullying, blackmail and public incitement.”

Ajayi explained that the allegations, which resurfaced online in December 2025, originated from Doris Ogala and were later amplified by bloggers, without giving Pastor Okafor a right of response.

He said the controversy began in late 2024 following a business engagement involving Ogala and a third party.

Pastor Okafor withdrew after concluding that the expected outcome could not be achieved.

According to Ajayi, Ogala then claimed the cleric owed her ₦45 million, a claim he described as unfounded.

“Each time one allegation failed to gain traction, another followed. It was a systematic attempt to see what would stick,” he said.

Ajayi also revealed that Ogala had previously been arrested and charged for cyberstalking, cyberbullying, and threats over similar conduct.

That case was resolved through an out-of-court settlement.

“At no point during those proceedings did she allege rape, sexual assault or an affair.

Those claims only emerged after the settlement was allegedly breached,” Ajayi stated.

Following renewed online attacks, fresh complaints were lodged with the police, leading to Ogala’s arrest and interrogation.

Ajayi also accused VDM and other digital platforms of abusing their influence, warning:

You cannot be the accuser, investigator, prosecutor and judge at the same time.

Allegations of rape or murder must be reported to law enforcement.”

He added that formal criminal complaints have been filed against individuals spreading the claims and reiterated that Doris Ogala, VDM, and other bloggers must formally submit their evidence to the police.
