Nigerian singer Tiwa Savage has opened up about her emotions toward her former partner and music collaborator, Wizkid.
In a video that has gone viral online, Tiwa revealed that performing with Wizkid often brings back strong memories of their past, making the experience deeply emotional.
She recalled their reunion at the Great Lagos Countdown 2025, a major annual music event in Lagos, explaining that seeing Wizkid again stirred feelings from six years ago.
Tiwa admitted she still finds it difficult to hide her emotions when they perform together.
She said,
“It’s uncomfortable performing with Wizkid on stage.
I admit I’m still in love with him.“When we reunited at Great Lagos Countdown 2025, my heart beat just as it did six years ago.
Every time Wizkid gets close, I can’t control my smile.
