Nigerian media personality Dele Momodu has addressed the ongoing rift between his niece, Sophia Momodu, and music star Davido.

Speaking during a trip to Liberia on February 19, Momodu revealed that several fans approached him about the situation, urging him to step in and help broker peace between the former couple.

Previously, reports emerged that Davido had withdrawn the legal action he filed against Sophia concerning custody arrangements for their daughter, Imade Adeleke.

The Afrobeats singer explained that while discussions appeared to be moving in a positive direction, he chose to discontinue the case after his late son was referenced during proceedings, describing the moment as deeply hurtful.

Davido maintained that in time, his daughter would come to understand how much he cares for her and the efforts he made on her behalf.

Momodu also disclosed that he has received countless messages from supporters of both parties, many pleading for reconciliation.

He noted that these concerns prompted him to reassure them that conversations aimed at resolving the dispute are already taking place privately.
