Veteran Nollywood actor Hanks Anuku has reacted to rising concern from Nigerians following a viral video that showed him in Abuja, which triggered widespread reactions online about his health and wellbeing.
In a new video shared by a man who reportedly met the actor on Tuesday, Anuku addressed the controversy directly.
He appeared calm and used the opportunity to reassure the public that he is in good condition.
Responding to worried fans and critics, the actor dismissed the attention surrounding him, saying people should rather concentrate on the country’s issues instead of focusing on him.
“Y’all haven’t seen anything yet. Y’all should face your government and leave me the hell alone. If you don’t have a better thing to do go do something, I’m good,” he said.
His comments come shortly after an earlier clip went viral online, showing him lying by the roadside in the Wuse 2 area of Abuja, which had sparked concern and debate across social media platforms.
