The Super Eagles of Nigeria have qualified for the 2023 AFCON final after beating the Bafana Bafana of South Africa on Wednesday evening.

This is the first time in a decade the Super Eagles have reached the AFCON final since their 2013 triumph in South Africa.

Nigeria qualified for the final via a penalty shootout (4-2) after a hard-fought 1-1 during 120 minutes with Kelechi Iheanacho ‘senior man kels’ as they call him, scoring the decisive kick for the Nigerian team.
The three-time AFCON champions will face the winner between Cote d’Ivoire and DR Congo on Sunday.
