Content creators urged to adopt AI tools to boost content quality and engagement, as highlighted during International Creator Day at the University of Nairobi.

During this year’s International Creator Day, held at the University of Nairobi, content creators were encouraged to integrate Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools into their workflows to enhance content quality and audience engagement.

The event brought together creatives, tech companies, and brands to discuss the evolving landscape of digital content creation

Speakers emphasized that AI and Machine Learning should be viewed as complementary tools that, when combined with human creativity, can significantly improve content relevance and monetization potential.

Tabbz Maina, Head of Marketing at Microsoft Africa Development Centre, highlighted the company’s initiative to train over a million Kenyans in AI.

The aim is to build a tech-savvy generation capable of leveraging digital opportunities

Rofhiwa Maneta, Meta’s Global Partnerships Manager for Sub-Saharan Africa, introduced the company’s revised monetization program.

This program rewards creators based on content authenticity and engagement across various formats, including photos, stories, and texts.

This shift aims to accommodate diverse creative expressions and ensure fair compensation

The event, supported by leading technology firms and creator management platforms, underscored the importance of adopting emerging digital tools to stay competitive in the rapidly evolving content creation industry.
