Felix Agu urges Werder Bremen teammate Justin Njinmah to choose Nigeria over Germany, highlighting Super Eagles’ appeal to dual-national players.

Felix Agu has made headlines by publicly encouraging his Werder Bremen teammate, Justin Njinmah, to represent Nigeria at the international level, following Agu’s own debut for the Super Eagles.

Agu, 25, recently featured in a friendly match against Jamaica during the Unity Cup in London, marking his first appearance for Nigeria after switching allegiance from Germany.

Born in Germany to Nigerian parents, Agu had previously played for Germany’s U21 team but has now committed his international future to Nigeria.

After his debut, Agu posted a photo on Instagram with the caption “Proud,” which garnered attention from fans and teammates alike.

Njinmah responded to the post with “My brothaaa” and a white heart emoji, to which Agu replied, “u next!!”

This exchange has been interpreted as Agu’s invitation for Njinmah to follow his path and choose Nigeria over Germany.

Njinmah, 24, has yet to be capped by either Germany or Nigeria at any level.

His impressive performances in the Bundesliga have not gone unnoticed, making him a valuable prospect for national teams.

Both Agu and Njinmah share Nigerian heritage and have developed a strong bond at Werder Bremen, increasing the likelihood of them playing together for Nigeria.

Agu’s public encouragement reflects Nigeria’s ongoing efforts to attract dual-nationality talents from Europe.

The Super Eagles have a history of integrating players with Nigerian roots who were born or raised abroad, enhancing the team’s diversity and skill set.

Agu’s move and his call to Njinmah underscore the growing appeal of representing Nigeria among players with dual eligibility.

As the Super Eagles continue to scout and recruit talent globally, the potential addition of players like Njinmah could bolster the team’s prospects in upcoming international competitions.

Agu’s initiative may inspire other dual-national players to consider donning the green and white jersey of Nigeria.
