In a recent Instagram post, the veteran Nollywood actress clarified that she legally purchased the disputed land in 2010.

She emphasized that the widow was fully aware of the transaction and had initially approached Ozokwor’s agent to find a buyer for the property.

Ozokwor explained that in 2023, the widow attempted to resell a portion of the land without her consent.

Upon discovering this, Ozokwor took action by fencing the property to protect her investment.

This move, she claims, led to the widow and her daughter accusing her on social media of taking over their inheritance.

Describing the allegations as “blackmail, fraud, and malicious intent,” Ozokwor asserted that the accusers are exploiting her public image to garner sympathy and financial support from the public.

She expressed disappointment over the spread of these claims without proper verification and announced her intention to pursue legal action to protect her reputation.

“As social media is not a court, I am pursuing legal means to vindicate my name because it took years to build and is my source of livelihood,” Ozokwor stated.

She concluded her message by thanking her supporters and affirming her commitment to letting the law take its course.

The Patience Ozokwor land dispute highlights the complexities of property ownership and the potential for public figures to become targets of unfounded accusations.

As the legal proceedings unfold, the actress remains steadfast in defending her rights and reputation.
