Angela Okorie’s survival struggle continues five years after her near-fatal shooting. The actress revealed she still carries bullets in her head from the 2019 assassination attempt.
In an emotional Instagram Live session, Angela Okorie’s survival struggle became painfully clear. “I feel constant pain and need regular medical checks,” the 38-year-old shared.
Doctors confirmed removing all bullets would be too risky. “They’re lodged near sensitive brain areas,” Okorie explained. She undergoes monthly scans to monitor the fragments.

The attack occurred after a movie premiere in Lagos. Gunmen ambushed her vehicle, firing 12 shots. Two bodyguards died protecting her.
Police never arrested the perpetrators. “I know who did this,” Okorie hinted, but declined to name suspects. Investigators initially linked it to industry rivalries.
Fans flooded social media with support. #PrayForAngela trended nationwide as colleagues praised her courage. “She’s the strongest woman I know,” said actor Zubby Michael.
Okorie now advocates for artist safety. She’s pushing for better security at Nollywood events. “No colleague should endure this,” she insisted.
Despite the trauma, she continues acting. Her new film “Unbroken” mirrors her real-life resilience. Producers say it’s her most powerful performance yet.
