Ghanaian dancehall icon Shatta Wale has publicly faulted Inspector‑General of Police George Akuffo Dampare for what he describes as the unchecked spread of “fake death prophecies” by some pastors.

The entertainer argued that the police’s failure to intervene has emboldened spiritual leaders to make sensational and frightening predictions about public figures.

Shatta Wale expressed his frustration in a fiery Instagram commentary, accusing Dampare’s police force of tolerating these “doom prophecies” that target individuals unfairly.

The artist warned that such unchecked prophecy has real consequences, sowing fear and confusion among the public and unfairly damaging reputations.

He also challenged critics and skeptics, daring anyone to arrest the pastors responsible highlighting the impunity with which these figures operate in Ghana’s religious and legal landscape.

Shatta Wale has previously received multiple ominous prophecies, including predictions of death, coming from various religious leaders.

His latest outburst signals a growing concern within the entertainment community about the impact of unverified spiritual claims not just on reputations, but on public wellbeing.

Ultimately, his public rebuke puts pressure on Dampare and the Ghana Police Service to clarify their stance and possibly regulate what Shatta Wale and others see as harmful content propagated in the name of faith.
