Samuel wrote on his X handle on Tuesday

The official said everything has been sorted since last night, and we are all good.

There was no discussion about Osimhen leaving the tournament.

The issue has been resolved as a family.”

The warning followed repeated posts by the influencer referencing the singer and her child, which Savage described as crossing a line.

She emphasised that the sustained online attacks have been harmful and cautioned that further violations “will move beyond Twitter.”

The incident reignited discussions around cyberbullying, harassment, and the protection of minors on social media platforms.

The club expressed confidence in Rosenior’s tactical acumen, leadership, and ability to develop young talent.

He has signed a contract through to 2032.

Lagos taskforce arrests 32 street urchins

The Lagos State Taskforce has arrested 32 street urchins, popularly known as ‘Omotaku’, during a coordinated enforcement operation across major roads on the Island and Mainland.

The suspects were said to have been apprehended for causing public nuisance, illegally obstructing traffic, and endangering motorists on key highways.

According to a statement issued on Tuesday, the Director of Public Affairs of the Lagos State Taskforce, Gbadeyan Abdulraheem, said the raid was part of the agency’s ongoing efforts to restore order and ensure public safety.

Abdulraheem said the operation followed repeated complaints from residents over the activities of the youths, accused of harassing drivers and creating safety risks across Lagos.

2027: I’ll work for Tinubu’s reelection – Asari Dokubo assures Wike

Asari Dokubo, the Amanyanabo of Torusarama Piri, in Degema Local Government Area of Rivers State, has pledged to support the reelection of President Bola Tinubu in 2027 for a second term.

Dokubo pledged on Tuesday, when the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike visited him in his Palace in Degema.

Commending Wike for the visit, Dokubo explained that Tinubu stood by him in his time of need, stressing that it is time to return the favour.

“Like you said, my friend, everything that is going to happen, I will be with you in making sure that my friend, the President succeeds.

HostCom to FG: We hope our concerns will be addressed this year

Host Communities of Oil and Gas producing areas have expressed hope that the Federal Government as well as oil companies will upscale their developmental programs in their communities in 2026.

National Chairman of HOSTCom, His Highness Benjamin Style Tamaranebi JP, expressed this hope in an address to members of the body, in Abuja, on Tuesday.

He noted that the struggle to get the much desired improved attention from the stakeholders has not been an easy task.

He, however, said,

“The journey looks rough but l believe this year will bring lasting solutions and legacies that will not be erased in our struggle, just keep believing God can still do something.”

“As we step boldly into 2026, I look forward to deeper connections, renewed strength, greater achievements, and bigger testimonies.

“May our efforts be crowned with success, and may our dreams find expression beyond our expectations.

Rivers: You can’t cry foul now — PDP blasts APC over Wike

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has said the All Progressives Congress (APC) has no right to complain about the conduct of Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, insisting that the ruling party must manage the political consequences of its own actions in Rivers State.

The PDP said Wike is no longer a member of the party and accused the APC of knowingly engaging him for political advantage, only to raise objections now that the relationship has become problematic.

The party’s position was stated on Tuesday in Abuja by the PDP National Publicity Secretary, Ini Ememobong, while reacting to a public exchange between Wike and the APC National Secretary, Senator Ajibola Basiru, over political developments in Rivers State.

The PDP spokesman said,

“The National Secretary of the APC may genuinely not know who is or is not a member of the PDP, and may therefore be relying on outdated information suggesting that Wike was a PDP member.

Wike was expelled from the PDP, along with his supporters, and that is why we sympathise with the problem the APC has brought upon itself by engaging Wike; someone they now lack the moral or legal standing to disown.

Chris Okafor submits self at SCID

After failing to honour the police invitation on Monday, embattled founder of Mountain of Liberation and Miracles Ministries, Pastor Chris Okafor, on Tuesday, reported at the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID), Panti, for questioning.

Okafor, it was gathered, arrived at the department on Tuesday afternoon after some highly placed persons cautioned him about disobeying a lawful invitation.

His defiance, it was learnt, was not unconnected to the ongoing investigation of the case between himself and estranged lover, actress Doris Ogalla, at the Assistant Inspector General of Police (AIG) Zone 2 Command in Onikan.

Sources told The Nation that the preacher accused by multiple women of sexual impropriety, abuse of authority, and alleged murder, felt that since a case was already initiated by him at the zonal command where Ogalla was alleged to have been detained earlier, he could ignore subsequent invitations from other police units.

But some highly placed persons read the news that he shunned the police invitation and warned him about the implications.

That’s why he presented himself at the SCID in Yaba for questioning.

Police probe alleged $2,000 extortion by Ogudu Officers

The Lagos State Police Command has commenced an investigation into allegations that officers attached to the Area H Police Command, Ogudu, extorted $2,000 (about N3.33 million) from a couple they allegedly wrongfully arrested in December 2025.

The state Police Public Relations Officer, SP Abimbola Adebisi, confirmed this on her X handle that the officers involved had been identified and brought to the Command Headquarters for questioning.

She said,

“The officers involved in the alleged extortion have been identified and brought to the Command Headquarters.

The Commissioner of Police, CP Olohundare Jimoh, has directed the DC ‘A’ to oversee the investigation.

The officers have given their statements, and we are awaiting the complainant to come forward to present his side of the story.”
