Afrobeats superstar Davido has shared heartfelt advice for aspiring musicians, urging them to remain committed to God even after achieving fame, warning that success often comes with distractions that can make people lose sight of their purpose.

The singer, born David Adeleke, made the remarks during an interview with Kiss Xtra, a clip of which began circulating widely on social media on Friday.

His message has since sparked conversations among fans, many of whom praised the award-winning artiste for encouraging young talents to stay grounded.

Davido also reflected on his own journey into music, revealing that his passion for improving his craft played a major role in his rise to stardom.

He said he constantly learnt from online resources and the people around him while developing his skills.

Davido said, “My advice for up-and-coming artistes is first of all, believe in yourself. I worked on my craft so much.

I loved music so much that I just wanted to get better every time. When I was young, I was learning from YouTube and the people around me.”

He also said, “Secondly, love what you do and put God first and close, especially when you make it because there are so many distractions that can make you forget He is the reason you are here.

The interview has continued to generate reactions online, with many social media users commending Davido for highlighting the importance of hard work, self-belief and keeping faith despite the pressures that often accompany fame.
