Asisat Oshoala Set To Leave Barçelona Women’s Football Team

Nigerian Super Falcon star, Asisat Oshoala, 29, is set to move to Bay FC in the United States. Bay FC is a female football side in the National Women’s Soccer League (NWSL), Bay FC in the United States.

The Super Falcon superstar joined the Spanish Giant on loan from a Chinese Club, Dalian Quanjian in 2019.

Asisat’s contractual obligation with Barçelona Femení expires this summer. The United State club who are based in the San Francisco Bay Area of California is offering her €150,000 weekly wage.

She bids farewell to the club on Instagram saying she is filled with mix emotions as she closes this chapter of her life.

The Super Falcon star said it was a privilege playing for the prestigious club. She also cherished the relationships she’s built with her teammates, the coaching staffs and the fans.

As I bid farewell to this incredible team and the city that has been my home for the past 5 years, I am filled with mixed emotions. It has been an absolute honor and privilege to wear the Barcelona jersey and represent this prestigious club

Asisat said

Since joining the team in 2019, I have had the opportunity to be a part of some of the most memorable moments in the club’s history. Together, we have lifted several trophies and these achievements are a testament to hard work, dedication and I feel privileged to have been a part of this team.

Oshoala said

But beyond the trophies and accolades, what I will cherish most are the relationships I have built with some of my teammates, coaches, staff and the amazing fans. You have become my family and I will forever be grateful for the love and support you have shown me

Asisat said

Thank you for everything. You have given me more than I could ever imagined and l will always be a proud representative of this incredible club.”

Asisat said

The six-time African Player Of The Year stay in Spain has been successful. She won 4 league titles, 3 Copa de la Reina titles and 2 Uefa Women Champions League titles, scoring a whooping 107 goals in 149 appearances for the Barçelona Femení side.

She has also played for English sides, Arsenal and Liverpool Ladies.
