Former Super Eagles forward Daniel Amokachi has shown his excitement and satisfaction with the standard of football being played at the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations.

Holders Senegal, and past champions Egypt and Morocco also failed to make it to the last 8.

The Super Eagles of Nigeria, Bafana Bafana of South Africa, and hosts Cote d’Ivoire are now the only former champions remaining in the tournament.
