Tombs Preservation

Back in the day the tombs were only built to cater for Pharoahs as it is meant for preservation of the Pharoahs bodies and souls. However, there are only few around today because they are being used by the general public.

As the number of tombs increased, people tried to protect them. That is how the concept of pyramids came about. Pyramids were originally for the tombs of the pharoahs but less significant people too have their own small pyramids. It is called ‘mona’.

Pyramids Of Giza

It is one of the three oldest and largest pyramids. This pyramid came to life during Pharoah Khufu of the eight dynasty between 2580 BC and 2560 BC.

The pyramid was made to suite the King and queen. It has modern opening gates, a beautiful gallery. About 2.3 billion rocks were used in the making of the pyramid. The intriguing Giza pyramid is the favorite tourist center for people all over the world. It also brings the highest revenue to the government compared to others.

They Are 20 Tonnes In Weight

The pyramids have ‘mystery’ doors as they were so heavy to open. You could mistake the great doors for walls. Only the Egyptians knew how to open them. The great pyramids needed the help of scientists before it could be relatively open with ease.

The doors were huge swivel doors that that needed one hand to open them from inside but almost impoosible to open them from outside. How the 20-tonnes doors were created by the Egyptians still remain a mystery.

Tunnels And Boxes

Tunnels and boxes were shockingly found beneath the Giza pyramids, which would also be found beneath all other pyramids as well. This tells us that the Egyptians were steps ahead of everybody as regards building then.

In addittion, each of the boxes found weighed 100 tonnes. Many people still find it hard to believe as rumours of bulls been buried in those boxes started flying around but no evidence has been brought forward in that regard.

More Heavier Than Elephants

The average weight of elephants are 4-5 tonnes. The stones used in building this pyramids were 8-9 tonnes each. This brings about another mystery on how there were able to carry these stones up to the height the pyramids reached. Scientists are still researching how the Egyptians pull this magnificent stunt.

A mouth-opening constructions the Egyptians made has about 203 steps and the stones followed each other with precision.

200 Years, A Pyramid

These pyramid constructions were 200 years each of effort and brilliancy. Over 130 pyramids were constructed in ancient Egypt, as it showed in the beauty and execution of the pyramids. The thought process behind these constructions is a phenomenal one and it needs to be applauded everytime they are talked about.

They No Longer Contain Its Treasure

Some of the pyramids treasures had been stolen. The treasures and valuables are always kept in the tomb with the mummies.

However, this didn’t sit well with rulers of other kingdoms as they destroyed some of the pyramids and took their valuables back to their respective kingdoms.

Although, the destructions didn’t have little or no effects on the big pyramids due to what they were constructed with. The mortal used in these constructions is yet to be known. The smaller pyramids were attacked and their valuables were carted away.

The Pyramids Are Jewel

The thought processes of the constrution of the pyramids speak volume on the love and respect the Egyptians had for their pharoahs and the respect the had for the dead.

Another material used in the construction of the pyramids is the local limestone that was in abundance in Egypt at the time. The stones always sparkled in the sunlight making the pyramid shine like a huge jewel. The pyramids could be viewed from Isreali mountain tops and it could also be seen from the moon as people have been speculating.

More importantly, one of the great things about Egypt pyramids is the constant temperature of 20°C it has, as it acts as Air-conditioning unit.

Slaves Didn’t Built The Pyramids

There is this belief that that the Egyptian contractors forced the pharoahs’ servants to build the pyramids but this is false. It was said that the workers willingly sacrificed themselves to building and they were also paid amd taken care of.

It is nearly impossible to believe the constructions were carried out by humans only because the precision and allignment of the stones must have had required technology or a machine.

The Pyramids Face Up North

More that 70% of the pyramids were cited on the west bank of the River Nile, the only river that passed across Egypt. This river was used as a pathway to transport goods at the time.

All the pyramids constructed were pointed to the North and the pole star was above the pyramid precisely. How they also do this without any advanced knowledge in the required technology is just so mind blowing.

Conclusion

The Intelligence, thought processes and the mysterious ways the then Egyptians used in constructing these pyraminds is just so incredible and phenomenon. Scientists are still continuing how the phenomenon came about.

The historial and religous the pyramids have make it more curious for one to visit the place, most especially the most popular one in Giza.
