Timberwolves’ playoff position is in jeopardy after a stunning fourth-quarter collapse against the Milwaukee Bucks, where they squandered a 24-point lead, highlighting potential vulnerabilities as the postseason approaches.

Timberwolves’ playoff aspirations took a significant hit following a dramatic 110-103 loss to the Milwaukee Bucks on Tuesday night.

Minnesota held a 24-point lead in the fourth quarter before Milwaukee mounted an unstoppable comeback that ultimately ended with their defeat which could affect their playoff spot.

During the fourth quarter the Timberwolves held a 90-70 lead to indicate confidence in their sixth consecutive win.

A defining four-point play Gary Trent Jr. launched put Milwaukee on top of a historic 23-0 run that changed the entire match direction.

Giannis Antetokounmpo led the Milwaukee Bucks’ performance as he achieved a triple-double scoring 23 points with 13 rebounds and 10 assists during the game.

In addition to his substantial bench contributions with 21 points Kevin Porter Jr. provided 18 points and 10 rebounds to the team when Bobby Portis returned after a 25-game suspension.

Anthony Edwards collected 25 points by making 10 field goals out of his 27 attempts along with Donte DiVincenzo delivering 24 points as a substitute player for the Timberwolves.

The Timberwolves struggled to respond when the Bucks implemented their zone defense strategy in the fourth quarter as the Minnesota offense collapsed during that period.

Minnesota lost their five-game winning run while falling in Western Conference rankings leading to potential challenges to their playoff seeding position with the regular season nearing its end.

The Timberwolves need to resolve the problems revealed during this collapse to guarantee their playoff spot in upcoming seasons.
