Airtel Uganda Expands Network Coverage with 50 New Towers

Telecom giant invests $15 million to boost connectivity and digital inclusion in underserved communities

Airtel Uganda expands its network reach with the deployment of 50 new telecom towers across the Eastern Region.

The project delivers its services to reception-deprived areas starting with Mbale followed by Soroti and finishing in Jinja.

The installation process for this system will finish by Q3 2025 and serve more than 1.2 million potential users.

Airtel Uganda works to increase community access through its expansion efforts according to MD Manoj Murali.

The project progresses in line with the broadband policy objectives established by Uganda’s government.

The telecommunications company Airtel Uganda has implemented updated fiber backhaul networks as part of its expansion plan.

The enhanced network infrastructure offers quick mobile banking capability along with dependable e-learning operations.

The new infrastructure installation receives support from local businesses because it brings advantages to their operations.

The enhancement of agricultural commerce through connectivity represents a significant development in the business according to Mbale coffee exporter Sarah Nambozo.

Huawei Technologies joined the telecom provider in constructing the infrastructure towers.

The power systems of these designs include dual technology solar and diesel energy generation.
