Coalition plan to scrap Free TAFE sparks outrage from NSW Teachers Federation, labeling it “reckless” and “disgusting” amid concerns over education access and workforce development.

Coalition plan to scrap Free TAFE sparks outrage from NSW Teachers Federation, as educators express deep concern over the potential elimination of fee-free vocational education.

The Federation calls this proposal both dangerous and offensive because it supports the essential function of Free TAFE in keeping education accessible and filling skill gaps throughout Australia.

The dispute grew fiercer after Shadow Education Minister Sarah Henderson’s leaked statement that Free TAFE does not succeed as intended.

The NSW Teachers Federation defended the success of the program to provide educational chances to students with diverse abilities while stressing the need for qualified workers in the future.

The Federation President Angelo Gavrielatos condemned the Coalition’s position on Free TAFE as it would harm Australian workforce preparedness while making education less accessible to people from disadvantaged backgrounds.

The speaker stressed to the community about vocational training’s worth and warned about the potential negative effects that decreased funding support would bring.

Free TAFE faces opposition as stakeholders continue to debate policies that ensure training and education accessibility for all students.
