Prominent Ghanaian media personality MzGee has shared a deeply personal reason behind her 2021 exit from TV3, one grounded in spiritual warning and fear for her life.

Speaking on her show Gee O’clock, she revealed that a prophecy delivered by a pastor at her trusted church but relayed to her through a friend predicted danger for a female TV presenter hosting a reality show.

At the time, MzGee was the host of TV3’s reality program Mentor, and she felt the message hit too close to home.

Adding to her concern were recurring, unsettling dreams about death that began haunting her around that same period.

She described the emotional toll as overwhelming and cited this spiritual anxiety as the main reason for prioritizing her well-being over her career.

Reflecting on the decision, MzGee said:
“I asked myself, would I have ignored it and then gone to stand on stage only to fall and die? So, yes, I acted on it. That was why I resigned.”

Though she acknowledged that some religious prophecies can be dubious, she emphasized her response was based on faith.

She prayed, fasted, and pursued spiritual clarity—actions she says were necessary to safeguard her life.
