Egypt leads the opposition against Trump’s sustainable resettlement plan for Gaza among Arab nations.

The government of Egypt works to gather Arab states against Donald Trump's plan to relocate Palestinian refugees away from Gaza. All parties in the region have one position regarding forced relocations which is to clearly reject them because they insist on achieving peace through a two-state solution.

The Egyptian leadership coordinated a diplomatic front against U.S. President Donald Trump’s Gaza resettlement proposal which advocates Palestinian relocation beyond the region.

Foreign Minister Badr Abdelatty declared Egypt’s engagement with 11 Arab nations including Jordan, Saudi Arabia and the UAE in which they collectively refuse any proposal to move Palestinians from their homeland.

The Trump administration proposed a strategy to hand Gaza over to Israel while relocating Palestinians to Egypt and Jordan for developing a “Riviera of the Middle East.” Arab nations openly reject the proposed resolution because they believe Palestinians should have their own independent state coexisting with Israel. Egypt considers Palestinian relocation efforts to be unlawful because this move would endanger regional stability while reducing chances of achieving peace.

The Egyptian government allocates its resources toward Gaza reconstruction after Israeli military action in response to the October 2023 Hamas assault on Israel instead of backing Palestinian resettlement. Presidential leader Abdel Fattah al-Sisi together with other Egyptian officials have emphasized that Egyptians reject any attempt to relocate Palestinians while public opposition remains firm.

The strategic partner between the USA and Egypt rejects Trump’s proposed plan for Gaza. All Egyptian military and intelligence leaders stand together against the plan due to their dedication to defend Palestinian rights alongside regional stability.

Egypt takes the leading role in this initiative because Arab nations accept Palestinian unity as essential for their purposes. Since its inception the Arab world has maintained its commitment to securing just Palestinian rights and achieving peaceful Israeli-Palestinian relations.
