The 2025 Ghana Music Awards faced criticism from attendees due to significant delays and lengthy speeches, leading to a marathon event that left many patrons exhausted

The 2025 Ghana Music Awards, a highly anticipated event in Accra, faced significant criticism from attendees due to extensive delays and prolonged speeches.

The ceremony, which commenced later than scheduled, was characterized by drawn-out presentations and extended stage activities, leading to a marathon event that left many patrons exhausted.

Organizers attributed the initial delay to the late arrival of some important guests, necessitating a postponement of the red carpet proceedings.

However, the subsequent lengthy speeches and presentations further extended the event’s duration, drawing ire from attendees who had anticipated a more streamlined program

The Ghana Music Awards, known for celebrating the achievements of artists in the country’s vibrant music industry, has previously faced similar criticisms regarding event timing and management.

Organizers have yet to issue a formal statement addressing the concerns raised during this year’s ceremony.

As the event continues to be a significant highlight in Ghana’s entertainment calendar, stakeholders and patrons alike hope for improved planning and execution in future editions to ensure a more enjoyable experience for all attendees.
