The prestigious Equity Leaders Program (ELP) has accepted 750 outstanding 2024 Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) examination graduates into its development program at Equity Group Foundation.
The program demonstrates the foundation’s continuous dedication to building scholars’ power through developing leadership abilities in Kenya’s most brilliant students.
The 750 newly selected scholars will pursue six-months of paid pre-university internship at Equity Bank branches alongside its subsidiaries across Kenya.
Students enrolled in this program will receive hands-on experience with financial knowledge alongside access to professional networks while the initiative fills the gap between school and university.
All interns participate in community service projects while they work through the six-month internship period because community service remains an essential part of the program.
Dr. James Mwangi of Equity Group Foundation declared his pleasure about welcoming exceptional students into the Equity Leaders Program. We will support all students in their path to becoming transformational leaders who will improve society because of their excellent academic track record.
The program has established a path to develop leaders with strong academic skills as well as community-minded values and social awareness.

The ELP maintains its vital position as a program that discovers and advances Kenyan young professionals since its establishment. Every participant receives mentorship combined with leadership training as well as access to worldwide opportunities through this program.
Many alumni of the ELP secured admissions along with scholarships to prestigious Ivy League universities and Ivy League institutions as well as returned home to make important contributions in multiple Kenyan sectors.
Students applying to the ELP face tough selection based on their exceptional academic achievements together with their demonstrated leadership abilities.
The program offers continuous mentorship assistance to scholars both throughout their university academic period and their professional stages to help them meet their academic and career goals.
In addition to personal development, the ELP fosters a culture of innovation and entrepreneurship. Academic researchers at the program must start projects that tackle community problems because this creates a mindset which promotes sustainable development and community empowerment.
The implementation schemes support Equity Group Foundation’s leadership objective to promote social change through educational initiatives and leadership training.
The scholars in 2024 show strong anticipation combined with deep determination as they start their internship period. The Equity Leaders Program supports these young people in their path to become influential contributors to national and local communities while fulfilling the program’s goal to establish a flourishing equal society.
