Big Akwes Apology comes after Kumawood actor Big Akwes faced backlash for chilling comments on air.

He has now issued a public apology to singer Cina Soul

On a live show, Big Akwes had made upsetting statements. After public outrage and Cina Soul’s complaint to the Ghana Police Service, he reconsidered.

He said his remarks were “inappropriate” and expressed regret.

In a statement, Big Akwes said he never meant to harm Cina Soul. He asked for her forgiveness and clarified he values her as a colleague. He also urged his fans to forgive him.

Cina Soul had expressed feeling threatened by his earlier comments.
She formally reported the incident to police and Ghana’s Media Minister, demanding accountability and protection.

The public reaction was swift. Many praised Cina Soul’s courage for speaking out. Supporters urged stronger safeguards against harmful on-air remarks. Media analysts say this apology may influence how broadcasters vet celebrity guests.

Broadcast regulators are now under pressure to enforce stricter standards. The incident highlights the need to curb harmful speech in media.

Big Akwes Apology opens a door for deeper conversation on respect and media ethics. Though forgiveness is emerging, many call for lasting change in public broadcast culture.
