Since March 5, 2025, the GFA appointed Decathlon as their official sports retail partner through a new agreement that was signed at the Accra Decathlon Superstore.

The partnership provides training equipment along with sports products such as footballs, bibs, and cones to aid the Malta Guinness Women’s Premier League.

This partnership provides women’s football teams across Ghana with high-quality athletic equipment that will enhance their training activities and overall sporting results.

The CEO of Decathlon Ghana, Geoffrey Fadloul, revealed his excitement to continue their partnership, underlining that the company remains committed to enabling football grow in Ghana.

Decathlon has set a mission to create sports access for everyone, and the organization sees women’s football support as a means to fulfill this objective through fostering sports inclusivity.

GFA President Kurt E. S. Okraku thanked Decathlon for its continuous support, which positively affected women’s football throughout different competition levels during the preceding four years.

The Ghana Football Association promised to maintain integrity in its continuing partnership by using every resource effectively to develop the sport.

Okraku declared that the GFA actively seeks to cultivate football throughout Ghana with special emphasis on both grassroots and professional sectors.

During his speech, Gonzalo Diez expressed his positive outlook for how the partnership will develop. Through its international sports enterprise, Decathlon will supply innovative solutions to support Ghanaian football development.

The extended partnership demonstrated his belief that it will bring about positive effects within Ghana’s football arena over the years.

This renewed partnership stands as evidence that both organizations actively pursue football development in Ghana and actively promote female empowerment in sports.

Women’s football in the country has taken another positive step toward becoming more competitive and sustainable through this agreement.
