Media personality, Nana Abba Anamoah has once again contributed to the ongoing controversy on whether national facilities or Ga land should have signage changed to the Ga language
She described these conversations as misplaced priorities and tribal bygots to make delusive comments
In a recent Interview on Okay Fm, Nana described the ongoing back and forth over inscriptions, such as Oobake, Weozor, and Akwaaba, as unnecessary and destructive.
She questioned why people are putting so much energy into something this trivial, when the country is being faced with different challenges like, Bad roads, Unemployment, and Poor healthcare
Why are we going on and on with Oobake, Woezor, and Akwaaba, when we have real problems in this country, there are people who are done with their National Service, they don’t when they are getting jobs, they don’t know where their next income would come from, and they don’t know where the next meal will come from
These are real problems, our road is killing us, we are experiencing Typhoid outbreaks, which is a serious problem, we’re particularly concerned about Oobake, Woezor, and Akwaaba, I thought it was very unnecessary, she said
She added that focusing on issues like this can sway the Government away from addressing the real issue that is affecting the daily lives of the citizens
Nana Aba recalled her tweet on X on August 28, 2025, where is dismissed the calls for signage change as “Tribalism Nonsense”
She further explained that she used those words because such conversations only cause tribalism sentiment and it will stir online reactions
I used those words because, Everytime such a thing comes up, it give tribal bygots the opportunity to enter the conversation and be tribalistic, they just look for that opportunity and I saw so many if them. She explained.
