Nigerian footballer Victor Boniface has responded to claims circulating online that he tested positive for drugs and was banned from football.

According to one accuser,

“Victor Boniface has now been banned from football for 2 years by FIFA after it was reported he tested positive for hard drugs test, Ccaine to be precise. Must Nigerian celebrities do drugs?

”Reacting to the claim, Boniface took to Twitter and posted: “Hope you get better lawyer?”

The striker, who plays for Union Berlin in the Bundesliga, made it clear that the reports were false.
