Singer and gospel minister Chidinma Ekile has opened up about a harrowing spiritual journey during a 40‑day fast on a mountain in pursuit of divine direction.

The period was marked by deep emotional struggle, intense prayers, and what she described as an encounter with a powerful force that tested her will to live.

Chidinma recounted that in the darkness of one night, the enemy led her to the top of a cliff and spoke to her, demanding she jump.

She admitted that she was ready to obey when an invisible presence prevented her from moving forward.

“It was more like I was in a theatre. God performed surgery on me and He shredded me… the enemy came to me… and right there at the cliff… the devil asked me to jump,” she shared

Despite the terrifying experience, Chidinma said it transformed her faith and redefined her priorities: material things no longer hold sway over her.

She described the vision as deeply personal and intensely spiritual, saying that God’s intervention came just when she was about to take a life-altering step.

Her revelation has sparked conversation among fans and spiritual followers over the boundaries between personal faith and extreme spiritual practices.

While Chidinma framed the ordeal as a test that brought deeper alignment with God, commentators caution against interpreting personal spiritual experiences as universal models.

Her story proves both the seriousness of spiritual warfare and the unseen resilience that can carry someone through.
