Cina Soul broke into tears following what she termed as a chilling death threat.

Ghana Police Service reported Kumawood actor Big Akwes to the singer. She also sought help from Ghana’s Media Minister over the alarming incident

In one of the Bryt TV shows, Big Akwes was questioned on whom he would marry, kiss or kill. He said he would “stab” Cina Soul to death using juju.

The comment appalled the audience and scared the musician.

On X (formerly Twitter) Cina Soul wrote that the comments were very disturbing to her.

According to her, she did not want to reply in the beginning because she did not want to be associated with Big Akwes. However, the menace did not give her any option other than to speak up

She highlighted that these harmful rhetoric should not be normalized on the air of broadcasting TV or radio.

Cina Soul stated that she was not aware of proper channels of reporting, but that it required a strong stand.

The response of the population has been prompt.

Her demand of accountability and more enforcement is backed by many.

Her complaint is now under review by the police. The media is keeping an eye on whether it will be followed by tougher protection.

.@GhPoliceService i’m deeply unsettled by this. i initially chose not to respond to earlier comments because i do not wish to be associated with this individual but at this point i feel genuinely threatened.@samgeorgegh @mocghana i may not know the proper channels to report… pic.twitter.com/W3c49OUFls
