In a livestream shared on X (formerly Twitter), DJ Tunez, the official DJ for Wizkid, opened up about what he sees as the most difficult task in his career: trying to reconcile two of Nigeria’s biggest music stars—Wizkid and Davido. He stated bluntly:

“My biggest challenge? Making Wizkid and Davido to love each other, that’s my biggest challenge.”

This admission follows years of public rivalry, which reignited in late 2024 when both artists exchanged heated messages online.

Since then, calls from fans and industry insiders have mounted for them to set aside their differences for the greater good of Afrobeats.

Fans and commentators flooded social media, praising Tunez’s honesty while echoing the sentiment that Nigeria’s top stars collaborating could drive Afrobeats even further on the international stage.

Many see his plea not just as a joke, but a public reminder of what unity—and music—could do for the global narrative.
