Nick Cox, the director of Manchester United is to become the technical director of Everton.
The 47-year-old has been the head of United youth system since 2019.

More than 27 debuts of first-team academy products were made under the guidance of Cox.
He assisted to bring in approximately 100 million pounds in terms of homegrown talent.

He was wooed by clubs all around the Premier League and the rest of Europe but the offer extended by Everton could not be refused.

There is already a succession plan at United. Cox will remain in the company a few months to have a smooth transition.

That is a sign of mutual respect and professionalism.

Everton is a club with a new ownership and plans with a new stadium and Cox is a major injection into their footballing system.
His mandate will include recruitment, youth development as well as the general technical strategy.

The appointment of Nick Cox comes after Everton signed James Smith of Manchester City in a senior scouting position.
In combination, they also want to reinvent backstage processes.

Everton are serious with the signing of Cox.

It is now time when United are reshaping their academy under a new management.

It will be an interest of fans and pundits to see the effect of the expertise of Cox on both clubs.
