Kris Asimoye Ugboma, wife of comedian Bovi, reflects on the challenges of moving abroad, noting how Nigerians must leave behind the “soft life” they enjoyed in Nigeria to manage everything themselves.

She highlighted the drastic shift from the “soft life” enjoyed in Nigeria complete with maids, drivers, chefs, and nannies to a more hands-on, do-it-yourself lifestyle while raising children abroad.

Kris Asimoye Ugboma, wife of comedian Bovi Ugboma, has shared her reflections on the challenges Nigerians face when relocating abroad.

She highlighted the drastic shift from the “soft life” enjoyed in Nigeria—complete with maids, drivers, chefs, and nannies—to a more hands-on, do-it-yourself lifestyle while raising children abroad.

Kris, who moved to the UK with her kids, wrote on social media:

“Nobody talks about our harsh reality: Going from the soft life we lived in Nigeria (having Maids, Drivers, Chefs, Nannies, in our homes) to DO-IT-YOURSELF living and working abroad with kids round the clock.
