Nollywood actor Rotimi Salami recently shared his thoughts on paternity and DNA testing, stating that he would continue to embrace a child even if a test revealed the child was not biologically his.

“If a DNA test shows the child isn’t mine, but I have raised the child from infancy and the child knows me as their father, I would fully accept them as my own.”

The actor stressed that a child should never bear the consequences of circumstances beyond their control.

According to him, the relationship built through care and upbringing is something he would not abandon.

Salami further noted that any issues arising from such a situation would only involve him and his spouse, not the child.

“The child will always carry my name and see me as their father, because they had no role in creating themselves. Any concerns would remain between me and my wife,” he concluded.

"If DNA says a child is not mine and I’ve already started raising the child as mine, I, Rotimi Salami, will accept the child. Even if it’s painful, it’s between me and my wife.”
