According to him, the message came with intentions beyond festive goodwill, as he suggested the sender was attempting to financially solicit him.

He further claimed that the woman smokes, a habit he says makes her unsuitable for marriage, citing concerns about potential effects on future children.

The singer added that he chose not to respond to the message, maintaining his reputation for being financially cautious.

Speaking in Igbo, he said …

“This girl that sent me a Merry Christmas message smøkes like me. I can’t marry such a girl because it might affect our child’s eyesight.

She used the message to set a billing trap for me, but I won’t reply, me wey be stingy man.”
