Legendary singer Innocent “2Baba” Idibia tied the knot with Edo State lawmaker Natasha Osawaru in April 2025 at a private traditional ceremony in Edo State.

The bride and groom were joined by close family members but notably, Rose Idibia, 2Baba’s mother, was absent, drawing considerable public attention.

The private nature of the event, and exclusion of certain family figures including his mother and Natasha’s immediate relatives, stoked speculation about underlying conflict.

Reports suggest strict guest restrictions were enforced, with no phones allowed at the venue.

This is especially significant given that just months earlier, Rose publicly rejected the union, claiming her son was “not in his right senses” and urging Natasha to “free my son,” referencing perceived spiritual manipulation.

While reconciliation seems to have taken tentative steps, Rose Idibia’s pronounced absence at her son’s traditional wedding signals that all might not be fully resolved
