A devastating road accident in Auchi, Edo State, has escalated into a public outcry after reality star Phyna’s sister Otabor Bodon Ruth, a fresh graduate was struck by a truck allegedly owned by the Dangote Group.
The collision resulted in the amputation of one leg, with the possibility of losing the other. The driver reportedly fled, only being apprehended after pursuit by a witness lecturer.

Stepping into the fray, activist VeryDarkMan (VDM) shared a troubling video of the injured sister and directly addressed billionaire Aliko Dangote, demanding justice. In his post, he stated:
“Sir, with all due respect, when does your drivers stop sacrificing Nigerians? … The carelessness of your drivers is causing untimely kpai of our young people… please … we need justice for RUTH.”
VDM also spotlighted allegations that police removed the truck’s license plate, possibly at Dangote’s behest, while the company sent a manager to the station, sidestepping the family’s need for empathy, Phyna claims.
Actress Kate Henshaw joined the public demand for action, revealing that the truck remains in police custody.
Authorities, however, are allegedly denying access to Phyna’s family and classmates.
As of now, no official statement or response has been issued by Dangote Group regarding the incident. The story spotlights deep concerns over road safety, corporate accountability, and disparities in justice for ordinary Nigerians.
