Cobhams Asuquo to direct Davido’s ‘5ive Alive’ world tour, bringing his unique vision to nearly 20 international arenas.

Cobhams Asuquo has been announced as the musical director for Davido’s upcoming ‘5ive Alive’ world tour, a collaboration that promises to deliver an unparalleled musical experience across nearly 20 international arenas.

Davido, the Nigerian Afrobeats sensation, shared the news via Instagram, expressing his excitement about working with Asuquo.

He praised the producer’s contributions to the tour’s preparations, stating, “Today is the first time I heard what he’s been working on, and I’m blown away.

“It’s time to get to work and start rehearsing”

Asuquo, a renowned music producer and singer, is celebrated for his exceptional talent and has worked with several big names in the Nigerian music industry.

Despite being visually impaired, he has performed at international music events such as the Harare International Festival of Arts and the French Cultural Centre Concert, showcasing his remarkable abilities on a global stage

The ‘5ive Alive’ tour follows the release of Davido’s fifth studio album, ‘5ive,’ which debuted on April 18.

The 17-track album features collaborations with international artists, including Jamaican singers 450 and Shensea, South African artiste Musa Keys, American musicians Chris Brown and Becky G, and French singers Tayc and Dadju. Nigerian talents Victony, Odumodublvck, Chike, and Omah Lay also contribute to the project

With Cobhams Asuquo at the helm as musical director, the ‘5ive Alive’ tour is set to offer fans a unique and immersive experience, blending Davido’s energetic performances with Asuquo’s visionary musical arrangements.

This collaboration marks a significant milestone in both artists’ careers and is anticipated to set new standards for live musical performances.
