The case of Vlahović transfer twist can determine the next major action of Manchester United.
Duusan Vlahovic of Juventus is one of the targets of the club this summer.
It is said that Juventus have dropped their asking price to approximately 35million Euros. The Serbian, aged 25, only has one more year in his existing contract. This bargain price makes him a cheaper target as compared to other strikers such as Victor Osimhen.
United are still in the process of short listing strikers. One of the leading names that are being considered is Vlahovic. Juventus seem willing to sell because they do not want to lose him in a free transfer next year.
According to Fabrizio Romano, Chelsea and Bayern Munich are also keeping track of the situation. Nonetheless, only two clubs have shown official interest till now.
In the previous season, Vlahovic scored 14 goals with Juventus. Although he has not yet reproduced his form at Fiorentina, he is a regular threat in Serie A. Critics believe that he has not yet reached his potential.
United consider the deal as practical and cost effective. New Juventus manager Igor Tudor might still opt to keep Vlahovic, though England interest may in fact accelerate negotiations.
In the event that the transfer twist is completed, the Vlahovic move would provide United with a goal scorer that is well proven without stretching their budget. Clarity may arrive within the summer window and maybe a new number nine at Old Trafford.
