The Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS) has issued a serious advisory to Nigerian citizens holding U.S. visas, emphasizing strict compliance with stated travel intent.

The warning follows concerns raised by the United States Government regarding repeated visa violations by Nigerians.

In a statement released Saturday from Abuja, NIS Public Relations Officer Akinsola Akinlabi urged all visa holders to avoid overstays, unauthorized activities, or changing trip purposes.

U.S. authorities reportedly conduct ongoing security screening past initial entry, and any breach can trigger deportation or permanent ineligibility.
