Yoruba actor Adams Kehinde, popularly known as Lege Miami, has accused Captain Oluranti Ogoyi, the pilot involved in Fuji musician Kwam 1’s recent Abuja airport incident, of acting recklessly and endangering the singer’s life.
Speaking in a video shared on Sunday, Lege Miami questioned why the pilot attempted to move the aircraft while Kwam 1 was allegedly still close to it, calling the act “unacceptable and unprofessional.”
Lege Miami argued that even if Kwam 1 had been uncooperative, airport security should have called the police instead of escalating the situation.
“How possible is it for a single man to stop a plane from moving? You call yourself a pilot, and instead of waiting for security, you kick-start the plane and risk killing the man. That is wrong,” he said.
The actor maintained that if Kwam 1 is facing penalties over the incident, the pilot should also be held accountable.
Lege Miami stressed that the blame should not rest solely on the Fuji star.
“If you are giving K1 his penalty, automatically the pilot must also face punishment. The pilot must go,” he declared.
His comments add a new layer to the public debate surrounding the high-profile tarmac standoff, which has already seen the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) suspend Kwam 1’s flying privileges indefinitely.
