Comedian and former BBNaija housemate DeeOne has sent social media into overdrive after releasing an explosive video in which he calls out Davido and other entertainers for allegedly projecting fake lifestyles to deceive the public.
In the now-viral video, DeeOne said fans would be “shocked” to know how many of their favourite celebrities are deep in debt or barely surviving, despite the luxurious images they present online.
“OBO is shouting ‘30 Billion’ but people don’t know what is really happening behind the scenes,” he said, suggesting that even Davido’s highly publicised wealth doesn’t always match the reality.
DeeOne also claimed that many entertainers borrow designer clothes, rent cars, or rely on wealthy sponsors to maintain their public image.
“Some of them don’t even own the things they show online. It’s all for impressions. And fans are here worshipping them,” he added.
While DeeOne did not release further evidence, his comments follow a pattern of outspoken critiques. Earlier this year, he slammed ex-BBNaija housemates for allegedly faking depression in order to stay relevant in the spotlight.
The video has sparked heated reactions online. Some praised DeeOne for “saying what most people are afraid to say,” while others accused him of chasing clout by dragging Davido and fellow entertainers.
As of now, celebrities has not responded to the allegations. However, the video continues to trend.
