Renowned Yoruba actor Olanrewaju Omiyinka, better known as Baba Ijesha, has released his first video since his release from prison after spending over three years in custody over alleged sexual assault
Announcing his release, actor Yomi Fabiyi, in a post shared on his Instagram page on Friday evening, stated that he was freed after being cleared by the Appeal Court.
He stated that Ijesha is not just back, but is better, and expressed his happiness that he had been cleared.
In a video circulating online, the actor was captured expressing his gratitude to an unknown person, likely Yomi Fabiyi, for his support while he was in prison.
He made the person aware that he had just arrived, was about to leave the vicinity, and was looking for a place to relax.
Praying for the person, he declared that he wouldn’t be disgraced.
“Baba Ese, I have come out. I just came out. I just want to leave there and look for a place to go.
I just want to tell you. Thank you for your support. You will not be disgraced.
Let me find where to relax. Ese gan. Thank you”, he said in Yoruba.
The actor, confirming his freedom, mentioned that he was experiencing a mild headache and was looking for a quiet place to rest.
