FG, Poland move to deepen trade and investment ties
The Federal Government has met with a delegation from the Republic of Poland to expand trade, investment, and strategic cooperation across critical sectors of the Nigerian economy.
A statement from the Ministry of Finance said the Minister of Finance and Coordinating Minister of the Economy, Mr. Wale Edun, yesterday received a high-level Polish delegation led by the Deputy Foreign Minister for Africa, Wojciech Zajączkowski, in his office in Abuja.
According to the ministry, the talks focused on broadening economic cooperation and strengthening investment ties, as both countries explored new areas of partnership in manufacturing, digital infrastructure, renewable energy, mining, agriculture, and defence technology.
Edun welcomed Poland’s growing interest in Nigeria’s economy, stating that the country is now better positioned for increased foreign investment due to ongoing reforms and improving economic indicators.
“Nigeria today offers stronger fundamentals, rising investor confidence, and a clear reform direction,” he said.
“We are open to deeper collaboration with partners like Poland who see the opportunities in our economy.”
Nigerian Police Syndicates Accused Of Selling Impounded Motorcycles In Delta As Group Demands Probe
The Young Nigerian Rights Organisation (YNRO) has called for an urgent investigation into the unlawful seizure and financial conversion of motorcycles belonging to members of the Hausa/Fulani community in Ibusa, Oshimili North Local Government Area of Delta State.
In a statement issued on Friday and signed by Comrade Victor Ojei, YNRO said it strongly condemns the alleged unlawful seizure and financial conversion of motorcycles belonging to members of the Northern Nigerian (Hausa/Fulani) community in Ibusa.
According to the group, police officers conducted an operation in the area during which motorcycles were taken from a settlement predominantly occupied by Hausa/Fulani residents.
According to the organisation, the seizures were not made on public roads but during a targeted operation, and were reportedly carried out without any court order authorising interim or final forfeiture.
Regina Daniels: Hospital disowns drug test result as family feud continues
Serenity Royale Hospital in Abuja has denied an alleged medical report claiming that actress Regina Daniels has been battling severe substance abuse.
The viral report purportedly stated that Daniels was diagnosed with a substance use disorder and placed on a home-based detox programme starting September 24, 2025.
The document was signed by the hospital’s Managing Director and Head of Clinical Services, Adekunle Adesina.
However, on Thursday, the hospital released a statement insisting the report did not emanate from them.
“Our attention has been drawn to a post on an alleged mid-term home detox report being circulated online in the name of Serenity Royale Hospital with respect to Nwoko Regina.
We wish to state clearly that the publication and circulation of the said post containing classified information did not emanate from us and respectfully request the public to disregard the same,” the disclaimer read.

Residents of Zaki Biam in Ukum Local Government Area of Benue State say they are living in daily terror as kidnapping syndicates, motorcycle thieves, and suspected cult groups tighten their grip on the troubled community.
It was gathered that criminal gangs had intensified threats in recent weeks, calling targeted victims and demanding cash or risk being abducted.
One source, quoted earlier by Vanguard, said the situation had become unbearable.

A member of the Peoples Democratic Party Board of Trustees, Bode George, has said former Jigawa State Governor, Sule Lamido, acted on a misunderstanding of the party’s nomination process for its 2025 national convention.

Obiano’s death rumour, wicked, irresponsible – Soludo
Gov. Chukwuma Soludo of Anambra has dismissed rumours circulating on social media alleging the death of former Governor of the state, Chief Willie Obiano.
Soludo, in a statement issued on Friday by his Press Secretary, Mr Christian Aburime, said the reports claiming that Obiano died in a London hospital were “malicious and utterly false”.
He said he had personally spoken with Obiano and could confirm that the former governor was alive and in good health.
