Musician Seun Kuti Calls for Revolution Over Low Wages and High Rent in Nigeria (Video)

Nigerian musician and activist Seun Kuti has called for a revolution for workers in Nigeria, highlighting the disparity between wages and living costs.

Speaking on social media, Kuti pointed out the struggle many employees face, noting that some workers earn as little as ₦200,000 per month, while landlords charge ₦500,000 to ₦600,000 monthly for rent.

He described the situation as unfair and urged Nigerians to demand better pay and improved living conditions.

Kuti’s statement has sparked discussions online about wage inequality, housing costs, and the need for systemic reform to protect workers’ rights.

In his words

“Nigerian workers, you need a revolution.

How can they be paying you 200,000 naira a month, yet they charge over 500,000, 600,000 a month for rent?”
